As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to let you know how grateful I am for all of you - students, parents, guardians, community members, staff, and our school boards. I feel fortunate to work in such supportive communities, and it is an honor and a privilege to serve you. I hope your Thanksgiving holiday is full of family, friends, and fun.

Now that the weather has turned and delays and snow days may occur, I want to let you know that safety is our top priority. In determining when to delay or close school, I work with local road agents, our bus company, and our head of maintenance to make the best decision possible with the information that we have. We also recognize that there can be differences in road conditions throughout the SU, and it is always okay for you to use your best judgement when it comes to deciding when to drive in winter weather conditions.

These Windsor High School students (Tanner Moody missing from the photo) are members of our Leader in Me high school Student Lighthouse Team. These students will be leading the work to create a school culture and a school environment that communicate our belief that everyone can be a leader.
Leadership is communicating the worth and potential of people so clearly that they are inspired to see it in themselves.

Finance & Operations Update
An annual tradition, the WHS student council gives thanks with a thanksgiving dinner to our custodial & maintenance staff. Thank you to our HS student council for taking the time to recognize those that we all appreciate so much. As we near Thanksgiving break, thank you to all our WSESU buildings & grounds staff, our business office, food services, human resources, IT services, and transportation staff that keep our finance & operations running so smoothly for the benefit of our students, staff, and administration.

Communicating and partnering with the families and caregivers of our students is a top priority for staff at WSESU. We value and appreciate working collaboratively with you. We want you to know that we check our email messages regularly and will respond in a timely manner. We have set a priority as a supervisory union to limit emails after 5:00 and on weekends. This means that if you email over the weekend, you will receive a response after the weekend. If you are emailing after 5:00 PM, a response will follow the next day. If you ever have an emergency situation and you need to reach the school, please reach out to the school administrator.
