Quick Update - Monday, March 28, 2022

Dear Parents and Caregivers:

I just wanted to do a quick follow-up to the email that I sent out last Friday (3/25/22). I may have spoken too soon. Over the weekend, we had multiple students and staff test positive for COVID-19. Two of our schools are at a critical staffing threshold. It is also notable that the CDC has increased our infection rating to high over the last week. One of our neighboring districts has returned to mandatory masks for this week.

Masking for our schools is still optional, but please remember to closely monitor symptoms.  Also, please follow standard hand-washing and sanitizing protocols and we recommend (but do not require) that your student wear a mask if they fit one of the vulnerable population categories. We have KN95 masks available for staff and students in all schools.

We will monitor the situation carefully and keep you posted. Our goal is to keep students and staff safe and to keep our schools open.

Stay safe and stay vigilant,

David Baker
