Beginning with the 2016-2017 School Year public funding for 10 hours a week of Preschool will be provided under Act 166. Public funding for Preschool is sent directly to the Pre-Qualified provider. If you are the Parent or Guardian of a child between the ages of 3-5 years, (child must be at least 3 year old on or before September 1, 2016) and you are a resident of Hartland, Windsor Weathersfield or West Windsor, you may apply for Public Preschool Funding by completing the following 3 steps:
1. Register your child at your local school district. (Registration forms are available on the WESEU website, or at your local school.)
2. Complete Residency Verification with the Supervisory Union Office. (If you have already completed the residency verification for a school age child, you do not need to duplicate. The local school district’s registrar will need to verify,)
3. Enroll your child in a Pre-Qualified Preschool program for 10 hours a week, anywhere in the state of Vermont. (Public funding only covers tuition for 10 hours a week.)
If your child is not currently enrolled in a Pre-Qualified Pre-K Program and you are interested in applying for the "lottery" drawing for a spot in the WSESU Early Childhood Classroom, please complete the above forms and an application for the Lottery Drawing.
