I know you can help WS with these three requests!
In the morning, we like all of our students to come in to the building by themselves, (next week marks our third week together), so they can start they day like all of the boys and girls. When parents come in to the AP Room and sit with them, it makes it that much harder to leave at 7:50 am. I promise you, they will be safe after you drop them off at the door! You have my word!
At the end of the day, some parents like to hang in the hallway and chat. It's the busiest time of the day for the office staff. Children are looking for bus notes, directions on where to go afterschool, and more! If parents go directly to the AP Room for Parent Pick Up, this removes the congestion in the halfway at a critical time and it lessens the chance of people hearing confidential information.
Finally, some parents like to chat after school so they send their children out to play, without supervision. This has caused a problem for PAWS. They have to have a particular student/adult ratio every single day, (and the state people do surprise visits more than you know). When you send children out to play without an adult, that upsets the balanced ratio. Please supervise your children outside, after school. Please and thank you.
Gosh, I feel like everybody's Mom! Thanks for your kindness and consideration!
Have a super weekend!
