Up, up, up! We had an amazing hike up to the summit of Vermont’s highest peak, reaching 4,395 ft, almost 1300 ft higher than Mt. Ascutney. Mansfield was truly an incredible mountain to the summit and the students definitely had to work hard up some very steep trails, with an elevation gain of almost 2500 ft in two miles! We ascended the Laura Cowles trail and returned on the Sunset Ridge trail to the van. It was a gorgeous day with almost no wind and a big, blue sky above.
