Weathersfield School and our supervisory union is about to embark on some very important work as we develop our new strategic plan called Portrait of a Graduate. WS is a K-8 school, but we are heavily invested in preparing all of our students for high school and beyond, regardless of the high school they choose. This means that building a strong educational foundation for each and every child during their tenure at WS is paramount, but we can’t do this without your vision and help! Under the guidance of a non-profit corporation called Battelle for Kids, we are looking for a nice cross section of people to represent WS in this work to be called the Design Team. This team will meet four times between September and January from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, (please come hungry because we plan to feed you dinner!). To ensure a well-balanced Design Team, we are looking for membership from the following Design Team volunteer categories:
6 community members 6 parents 2 students 2 board members
At least 1 business representative 6 teachers/support staff
It may help you to know in advance the dates and locations of these meetings:
Wednesday, September 25, 2019 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Windsor High School
Wednesday, October 30th, 2019 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Weathersfield School
Tuesday, November 19, 2019 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Hartland Elem School
Tuesday, January 14, 2020 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Albert Bridge School

If you want to volunteer to be on the Design Team, please let Principal Oakman know as soon as possible. This work is so important and YOU can make a difference by serving! Thank you so much for considering it!
