Located along the junction between the Long and Appalachian Trails, Deer’s Leap sits in the shadow of Killington. After a two-mile hike up and over Deers Leap Mountain, we headed for the cliffs where the sun was shining and the wind was whipping! After heading back down to the van we drove into Rutland for ice cream and then to Clarendon Gorge. Below a 30 ft suspension bridge, there are a series of deep yellow/green pools and small falls. It is a very cool place to explore, jump from the rocks and swim. A perfect ending to a hot day!
