This is an email that Jessica Wilmot received and she has asked me to share with all of you as it might be of interest to someone.
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying your school year. I am writing to ask a favor.
I received a grant from the Forest Service to pay for a new interpreter position at Mt Ascutney State Park. I am reaching out to you in hopes you may be able to forward this along to folks in the area who may be interested in this opportunity. We have exhausted our applicant pool, and we need a local candidate for this position as we do not have housing available.
This position starts in early June and lasts through the middle of October (for school field trips). It is 40 hours per week and starting pay is around $13.45 per hour. This is our very first interpreter at Mt Ascutney so it is a cool opportunity to create something new. A bulk of the position will be hiking around Mt Ascutney trails engaging visitors in short, meaningful interpretive moments. Please share this with anyone in the area you think may be interested, I would love to hear from them.
