The SBAC tests that students took in ELA and Math in May, (just one short month ago), in grades 3-8 are ready to be released today! Students will come home with their scores in a sealed envelope. Inside will be your child's scores, a cover letter about the test, and a composite analysis of how our students did in grades 3-8. Check out the last page of the composite score analysis, as it gives a good way to reference how students did. We will mail the scores to homes if those students have already left for the summer. Please feel free to call me and ask any question you have. I LOVE to talk about test scores! Our May 2018 3-8 SBAC scores are very impressive! I am very proud of our students and the entire staff who worked so hard to help the students succeed. The PTA paid for the FREE breakfasts our test takers were offered every morning before every test....it made a difference! I am proud of parents who got their children here to school every day and on time so students could focus on test taking. Our attendance during testing was wonderful!
I have not had an opportunity to review the scores with the students yet, as I only saw the scores on Thursday night for the first time. I promise to review each score with every student in the fall, except for my 8th graders who will be gone. However, for my 8th grade graduates, I am only an email and/or a phone call away if they have questions!
The May 2018 Science scores for grades 5 and 8 are not available yet. Its a pilot year so I am told we will only have school and WSESU scores and not individual student scores. I will report out on this when I know more.
We can't hide our panther pride!
