News From The Art Program
The 4th-8th graders have been working on African patterns. We turned them into stamps and are stamping sections of quilts alongside African fabric as part of the quilt. The quilts are looking fantastic! It turns out we will be making 4 quilts approx 35x40 inches each. I have enough fabric for the quilt backings, but am looking for quilt batting to use for the centers. If anyone has some they would like to donate to the art room, I would be delighted to use it for these quilts. We are looking forward in donating them to Cedar Hill for the residents to be able to use as lap quilts. Thanks so much! Shelly Jarvis, WS Art Teacher
