Dear Parents and Caregivers:
In light of the recent controversy around the survey given to some of our elementary students, the Windsor School Board would like to invite you to a special board meeting on October 25th at 6:30pm in the Windsor School Auditorium. This will allow time for parent input and to look at any associated policy issues. This has been an emotional and fragile time for all involved; students, family, school board, administration, and the WISE organization. We have a great school with great kids and families. We need to learn from this experience, take steps to ensure it never happens again, and bring our community back together.
Click here to read a letter from the WISE agency to Windsor School parents. I know they are seriously sorry for not engaging parents much earlier in the process. As many have said, this agency has done a great deal for our children in the Upper Valley as they try to mitigate sexual safety and reduce domestic violence. I, for one, hope that they can regain our trust and eventually we can reestablish a relationship. We shall see.
We hope to see you on the 25th.
Sincerely,
Dr. David Baker
Superintendent
