Kay Faust Remembered

A Tribute to an Amazing Librarian
It is with a heavy heart, Weathersfield School announces the passing of a beloved school librarian, Naomi "Kay" Hurwitz Faust, of Baltimore, Vermont.  Mrs. Faust was known for her quick wit, her extensive vocabulary, her hilarious stories, and her extraordinary skillfulness in playing Scrabble.  Mrs. Faust passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2017. She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on April 21, 1943. She attended the University of South Africa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Shortly after leaving college, Mrs. Faust moved to London, England. During her time in England, she worked as a children's librarian in the public library system. Mrs. Faust moved to Baltimore, Vermont, and fell in love with the area and the communities surrounding her home, especially the Weathersfield School.  She was enjoyed by many students, faculty and staff for generations.  She was admired for her years of devoted service to the school system.  Mrs. Faust was a world traveler, before and after her time spent as the Weathersfield School Librarian. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed
