As the school year winds down, I wanted to apprise you of some changes in the school schedule for the last few days of school.
Three Fun-Filled Events for WS and Volunteers
Friday, June 16th, will be our annual Volunteer Appreciation Day. Instead of having a tea party after school, we are planning a family barbecue, (fully funded by our amazing PTA). We will announce the time for that soon. After lunch, at the urging of students and some parents, the WS Student Council will host a Student vs Faculty/Staff athletic event. Maybe a soccer match, maybe a softball game....stay tuned! From 4 to 6:00 pm, we will once again have a Family Dance in the gym. Students in K-4 will need an adult chaperone, while students in 5-8, do not. We hope to have a good turn out for all three events! This is the last full day of school.
Monday, June 19, 2017 - Early Release Day for Students
This is an early release day for ALL students. We will give them lunch and board them on buses at 11:30 am, so support staff and teachers can attend an afternoon inservice.
Eighth grade graduation will be at 7:00 pm on June 19th in the gym.
Tuesday, June 20, 2017 - Early Release Day for Students
We will have two Awards Assemblies in the morning, with the faculty and staff presenting a special treat for the children. Times of assemblies and performance will be announced in May. These events are open to the public. Students will hav lunch, given their report cards and boarded on buses by 11:30 am. Faculty and Staff will have an afternoon building based meeting.
