Mountain Day!

K-6 students of Windsor Elementary School recently spent the day hiking and exploring nature during our Second Annual Mountain Day. Kindergarten, first and second grade hiked the carriage and wooded trails of Mt. Tom in Woodstock, Vermont. Grades 3, 4 and 5 hiked the Windsor and Brownsville Trail to the peak of Ascutney Mountain, which peers over our school. Sixth grade students traveled to Mt. Moosilauke in Lebanon, NH where they summited at an elevation of 4,803 feet. The day was organized by Windsor School's K-6 physical education teacher, Donna Ewald.

Mt. Ascutney: 3,130 ft
Mt. Moosilauke: 4,803 ft
