Cell phones and ipods/ipads

Students have requested they be allowed to bring their cell phones, ipods,  and ipads to school on Friday, June 10th to take pictures of the field day experience, as well as pictures of their teachers and classmates.  I am going to allow it for that one day with these conditions:

1.The pictures are not posted on the internet, (some families ask that their children's pictures and work not be posted in accordance with the Hatch Amendment.  I know who these families are and I do honor their requests,  others may not know, so we need to play it safe and not post).

2.  Teachers can control the time limit and use of the electronic devices during the day on Friday the 10th.  I will be in Boston with our 8th graders so teachers will be monitoring this.

3.  This special treat is for the school day between 8 and 2:30 pm, this does not include the bus ride to and from school.

4.  We have a school policy that says anything brought to the school from home will be the responsibility of the child, not the teacher or school.  If you bring any electronic devise on the 10th, you run the risk of having it lost or broken and the school cant be responsible.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks,
JM
