On Monday, May 2, 2016, our Four Winds volunteers led several groups of students on a stream visit at Robin and Colin Tindall's homestead on Plains Road in Perkinsville, to explore the stream near their home. The students are studying stream life, so this trip was an authentic, hands-on way to actually see and touch the aquatic life they had heard about. Special thanks to the teachers who worked with BJ Esty to organize the trip. Thank you to Susan Hindinger, Four Winds Coordinator, for making learning about science in a dynamic way an ongoing event in our school. A heartfelt thank you to the parents and Four Winds volunteers who made this trip safe and fun for our students. A boat of gratitude to Amy Hill for organizing this particular trip with BJ. Thanks to BJ Esty for ALL she does to keep our school exciting and cutting edge! ...And a very sincere thank you to Colin and Robin Tindall for allowing us to use the stream on their property for this wonderful adventure.
