Dear Parents, Guardians, and Friends of Hartland:
It is with a degree of sadness that I tell you that Principal Jeff Moreno has accepted a job as an Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Hartford High School. This was a very difficult decision for Jeff, but his absolute passion is with high school and athletics. In this new job he will get to live both of those passions. As some of you know, Jeff is a Hartford graduate and resides in that Town as well. Essentially, he is going home. We have been very fortunate to have him serving our community for the last three years. He has built confidence among staff, energy in our student body, and trust with our parents. Jeff came to us at a difficult time and brought just the right amount of optimism and strength to our school community. He will be sorely missed. I, along with the entire school community, wish him well.
The school board and I realize that this leaves a big hole in our school community. The board will be meeting next week to decide the best way to move forward. I know they want to move carefully and deliberately. We are all well aware that the principal sets the tone in the school and has the greatest impact on the success of the entire school community. This is exactly why the board will be extremely careful as they move forward. We will keep the entire community updated throughout the process.
So, Jeff, we bid you off with a warm Arrivederci! You have served us well. We wish you and your family nothing but the best for the future. We know you will take care of all our Hartland students at Hartford High School. Thank you for your service to our community. We hope our paths cross many times in the future.
