WSESU Geography Bee News

The first leg of The Vermont Principal’s Association Geography Bee took place at Weathersfield School on Wednesday, March 30th. Teams from Albert Bridge, Hartland, Windsor, and Weathersfield competed to determine which school will represent our supervisory union at the state regional competition in April. Students in 5th through 8th grade demonstrated their knowledge of physical and cultural geography in a three round competition where each student answered twelve regular questions and one bonus. The Weathersfield Team of Jordan Gaito, John Maclachlan, Jasmine Martens, and Zed McNaughton scored a total of 88 points, earning them a second place finish. Windsor was third with 60 points and Albert Bridge was fourth with 40 points. Hartland finished first with 108 total points.

Congratulations to Hartland for a job well done!  Congratulations to all of the teams for participating!
