On Tuesday, December 13, Madame Kelley and Senora George escorted sixteen Windsor High School students to Hanover High School’s annual poetry recitation contest. Over 190 students and 16 area high schools participated in the contest. Students memorized famous French and Spanish poems, practicing them for many weeks leading up to the contest. They then recited the poems for two judges and their peers, and were graded on memorization, pronunciation, and stage presence. Windsor students succeeded in winning two awards! Messiah Buck won first place in the Spanish Level 1 competition, and Belle Moulton won third place in the Spanish Level 2 competition. The other participating Windsor students included: Lucia Blanchard, Max Clifford, Ryan Ducharme, Kaytlynn Epstein, Jordan Gaito, Logan Garrow, Mercedes Garrow, Maggie Gilman, Austyn Larson, Alexianna Merrill, Olivia Rockwood, and Alexander Townsend. In addition, Colin Mangan and Lillian Merriam attended as alternates.
