PTA meeting tonight at 6:00 pm in the AP Room. 8th graders and their families are asked to attend to discuss fundraising endeavors for the Boston trip this June. The October Car Show will also be discussed.
I will be discussing Act One with PTA tonight. Act One is the law that was designed to protect students from sexual abuse. I have many resources I will be sharing with PTA tonight.
The children have been asking us for more playground equipment. The little ones have asked for doll clothes and old dolls. If you have any at home that you will like to donate, I brought a 20 gallon clear bucket with lid from home that we could use to house the donations.
Tonight, I intend to ask PTA if they would like to donate some money to the purchase of more recess items. The teachers asked the children what they wished they had for recess and here is a list of items they mentioned:
Bubbles - I bought three large bottles over the week-end
Jump Ropes - I bought 5 new ones yesterday
Swing set- this is most requested by we really have no room for another one
Hockey Sticks and Net
Small Free Standing Basketball Set - for K and Grade 1
The children also asked for things we can't afford, nor do we have the room, such as a trampoline, slides, monkey bars, see saw, caves with tunnels, climbing dome, mechanical horse and more! Teachers were careful to write down every request so every child's voice could be heard, but some items simply can't be purchased.
Any recess items you would like to donate would be warmly welcomed.
Thank you and enjoy your week!
