Good Morning and Happy Friday!
WS had a fire drill at 8:07 am today. ALL 200+ students exited the building quickly and quietly in less than 2 minutes. All students and adults were at the evacuation site and attendance was taken, all of which happened in just 3 minutes and 2 seconds. We are a safe school, indeed! Congratulations WS....job well done! We will be conducting a lock down drill later this month, (Clear the Ha;ll; Secure the Building), as required by law, 2 drills in the first month of school. I will advise our children in advance of the drill, just as I did this week with the fire drill. This is so our wee ones will not be frightened and will see the process as part of the school day and another practice in safety.
Sandy Morgan went to the Windsor Prison on Thursday and picked up 30 pounds of cabbage, loads of fresh chives and garlic, and some yummy cucumbers. Thank you to Lisa Harrington and the Windsor Prison for supporting our Farm to School initiatives! Our children are loving the fresh produce! Thank you, Sandy, for running this errand in the name of our children!
No school on Monday - Labor Day! What a fantastic three days we have had! Everyone is so happy to be back in school!
Have a wonderful week-end! See you all again on Tuesday!
