This message is for all parents and guardians in the Windsor Supervisory Union including Hartland, Weathersfield, Windsor, and West Windsor. The police still advise us to use some caution related to the domestic incident that occurred today in Windsor. As of this message, the police are still searching for the suspect in today's shooting. Therefore we want to dismiss cautiously from school. We will advise all bus drivers to please make sure there is a parent at the bus stop or the child will not be released. We will ask that those students who normally walk home be picked up by parents at dismissal. Please do not pick up students prior to the normal dismissal time.
There are some high school students that drive their cars to school. We will be dismissing them at the normal time and allowing them to drive unless a parent requests that we hold them at school. This careful dismissal is for all students in Hartland, Weathersfield, West Windsor, and Windsor. This includes Windsor in all grades kindergarten through twelve. Windsor students who walk to school in grades kindergarten through six will be picked up from the elementary gym and the Windsor students who walk to school in grades seven through twelve will be picked up in the high school gym.
Again we ask that parents wait until the normal dismissal time to pick up their children. If anything changes before the end of the day we will update you. Finally, all after school activities are cancelled.
