The students at the presentation today got to enjoy the art of bread baking and were each given a beautiful bag filled with goodies to make bread, including a 2 pound bag of all-purpose flour, a 2 pound bag of white whole wheat flour, a child’s recipe booklet, a package of yeast, and a dough scraper. The students were encouraged to make a loaf of bread at home and a loaf of bread to give away. The students will be bringing the bread in to school on Monday, October 26th, where it will later be delivered to the Weathersfield Food Shelf.
King Arthur is dedicated to helping communities and their community service presentation today was surely evidence of that! They also donated a beautiful hardbound book called Whole Grain Baking for our school library. Special thanks to Ruth and Roger Newhall who came to school to assist in this presentation.
Thank you, Amy, Christy, and King Arthur!
