Track My Progress
Students in our school, K-8, are taking an online assessment three times a year called Track My Progress. The data from this assessment in reading and math will drive instruction in the classroom and inform us which students need extra remediation through an afterschool program called TIPS, (Targeted Intervention Program for Students). The fall TMP results are in and will be shared with parents this Thursday, September 25th. The test results and a letter explaining how to read the results will go home in each students regular report card envelope. The letter of explanation has a sign-up sheet at the bottom for the TIPS program. Parents, when you get this letter, please check the most appropriate box and send it back to school with your child's report card envelope. Our goal is to get every report card envelope and TIPS response for 100% of our students by next week. Please feel free to call the school at 674-5400 if you have any questions or concerns!
NECAP Science Tests for Grades 4 and 8
Our 4th and 8th graders took the Science NECAPs last May and the scores came in today. Our 5th graders, (last year's 4th grade class), will also have the NECAP results and a letter of explanation in the grade 5 report card envelope. Look for these test results on Thursday. These scores do not need to be returned to us, they are for parents to keep. Beth Sprague and I have completed a compilation of the results, comparing SU and state scores to our own. All students, K-8, will get a copy of the compilation science NECAP scores on Thursday. The 8th grade scores will be mailed home, as those students are now 9th graders, attending various schools.
