On Wednesday, November 12th, 2014, the 5th grade students invited Kindergarten through 6th grade students to come to an exhibit of their research and creations for the Social Studies unit for Ancient Civilizations.
Students examined the early river valley civilizations and explored how they were similar and different from Windsor, VT, a community that settled on the banks of the Connecticut River. Students were able to create a presentation board, physical map of geographic features depicting locations of crop growth, and an ancient artifact replica. Classes from Kindergarten through 6th Grade attended the showing and asked questions about the variety of civilizations on exhibit.
It was a well-attended event and the 5th graders did an amazing job presenting their learning to younger students!
